National Scholarship Portal (NSP) 2020

National Scholarship Portal (NSP) 2020 is a portal launched by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. This portal provides various scholarships to SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority students. Applicants can apply/ registration online for the schemes listed further. Appliers can read the further session of this page to collect the information like eligibility criteria, registration procedure, the procedure to submit a renewal application, documents required and other relevant information.


Procedure to Check Eligibility at NSP 2.0

Any applicants who want to apply for scholarship under NSP have to check there eligibility by follow few easy steps:

  1. To check eligibility you need to go to the National Scholarship Website
  2. From home page of the website you need to go “services” option
  3. Click “scheme eligibility” from drop-down options
  4. Enter the details such as Domicile State/UT, Course Level, Religion, Caste/Community Category, Gender, Parent Annual Income, Whether Disabled and captcha code
  5. Click “check eligibility” option
  6. Documents Required
  7. Aadhar Card
  8. Bank account Passbook.
  9. Caste Certificate if you belong to a special category.
  10. Income certificate as per your scholarship type.
  11. Mobile Number
  12. Passport Size Photograph
  13. Previous Year Education Qualification certificate.
  14. Self-declaration certificate.

Registration Procedure of National Scholarship Portal
  1. First Step Registration
  2. To register yourself you need to go to the National Scholarship
  3. From the home page of the website you need to click “new registration
Read the instructions appears on the screen, tick the checkbox and click “continue” option
Enter the details as asked on the screen such as name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID, bank details etc.
  • Enter the captcha code and click the “Register” option
  • Second Step Login
  • Log in through your “Student Registration ID”
  • Click on “Application Form” Icon
  • The application form will be displayed on the screen
  • Fill in the asked details i.e State of Domicile, Name of the student,Y Date of Birth, Community/ Category, Father’s Name, Aadhaar card Number, Mobile Number, Scholarship Category, Gender, Religion, Mother’s Name, Annual Family Income, Email ID etc.
    • Click on “Save & Continue”, next page appeared.
    • Upload the scanned copies of the documents.
    • Click on “Final Submission’’
    • Thus, Application is finally submitted.
    • Procedure to check Scheme Wise Scholarship Sanctioned List
    • To check you need to go to the National Scholarship
    • From the home page of the website you need to click “new registration
    • Now click “Scheme Wise Scholarship Sanctioned List
    • Choose an academic year, application type, ministry, scheme, state and district
    • Enter captcha code and click submit option
    • The list will appear on the screen
    • Procedure to apply for Renewal
    • To check you need to go to the National Scholarship
    • From the home page of the website you need to click “Login”
    • Now enter application ID, password and captcha appears on the screen
    • Click the “login” option and apply for renewal of the application
    • Procedure to Search Institute/School/ITI
    • To check you need to go to the National Scholarship
    • From the home page of the website you need to click “Search for Institute/ School/ ITI
    • Enter the details Institution State, Institution District, Institute /College/ITI and School/College/ITI Name(Optional) 
    • Now click “Get Institution list” option and information will appear
    Procedure to search district wise nodal officer
    • Go to the National Scholarship
    • From the home page of the website you need to click “services”
    • Click “Search Nodal Officer Detail” option
    • Select ministry, state, district and scheme
    • Enter captcha code appears in the image
    • Click “submit” option and information will appear on the screen
    • Check List of Ministry Coordinators
    • Go to the official website of the national scholarship portal
    • A Home page will be open in front of you
    • On the homepage click on the services link
    • From the services link select check the list of ministry coordinators
    • A new window will be open in front of you with the list of all we ministry officers along with their contact details
    • Know Your AISHE Code

    To know your AISHE Code applicants have to follow few easy steps as mentioned further

    1. Go to the National Scholarship Portal
    2. From the home page of the website you need to click “services”
    3. Click “know your AISHE Code” from the drop-down list
    4. Select your institution type, state, district, university type and name
    5. Click submit option and list of colleges with AISHE code appears
    6. Download NSP Mobile Application
    7. Go to the National Scholarship Portal
    8. Click on “Get it on Google play” option available in the top right side of the page
    9. Or open the Google Play store in your android mobile
    10. Go to the search bar and type national scholarship
    11. Click install option and let the application installed on your phone.
    12. Know Your Payment-NSP
    13. To know your payment information you have to go to the official website
    14. From home page click “know your payment” option
    15. Now enter the asked details such as

    20. Click search option and information will display
